With the upcoming changes in the new CE directives, which will be in effect starting April/2011, Cincon is obliged to announce that starting from shipment date after Dec/31/2010, all TR series adaptors will no longer bear the CE logo on the units.

The simple reason is that they were not designed to meet the energy efficient requirements and upcoming CE criteria.

On publications of ErP directive (Energy-related Products, 2009/125/EC) and the implementation of the directive (EC/278/2009), the European Union has requested that all external power supplies entering its country, must comply with the energy-efficient criteria listed below:

a.No-load condition power consumption shall not exceed 0.3W (For Po≦51W) or 0.5W (For 51W < Po ≦ 250W)

b.Average active efficiency shall not be less than the following limits:

However, we have already dedicated our efforts in designing future substitutions, and our new line of TRG series will be in place to meet customer’s need, and also the new directives for external PSUs.

Note:

1.This is by no means we will discontinue TR series production, it is just that in future they will not have the CE logo, while only TRG series has it.

2.We wish all of you to finish all process of replacing TR with TRG adaptors in the customer applications before our deadline.

3.Some units, due to technical difficulties, may not meet the existing features of the current TR products, such as:

a.Some TRG do not have output under 12V yet.
b.Some models are will not have TRG versions.
c.Other special features.
