Cincon Releases MF10/MF20D Modules, New 10A/20A Input EMI Filter for MIL-STD-461

      Cincon has launched the MF10/MF20D EMI filter modules, designed to meet the stringent requirements of MIL-STD-461 (F, G) for defense ground and airborne applications. These modules streamline compliance by providing a ready-made solution for EMI.

 

      Engineered to reduce both common mode and differential mode noise in DC-DC converter systems, the MF10 and MF20D support maximum current ratings of 10A and 20A (with derating) and accept input voltages up to 75V—making them ideal for 24V and 28V bus systems commonly used in defense and aerospace environments.

 

      With a wide operating case temperature range of -55°C to +110°C, these filter modules are also well-suited for distributed power architecture, telecommunications, battery-operated devices, and various industrial applications.

To meet the requirements of the MIL-STD-461 standard, Cincon provides recommended circuits and test board layouts for DC-DC brick modules, ECLB and B case product series. As an example, we use the CQB150W-24S24 model. Below are its reference circuit and corresponding test board layout:

Using the reference circuit and test board, the MF20D075P in combination with the CQB150W-24S24 successfully meets the CE102 requirements in EMI testing:

The MF10/20D050P features an operating case temperature range of -55°C to +110°C. To ensure reliable performance, appropriate derating or cooling measures must be applied during operation. The case temperature should never exceed 110°C under any condition.
