OVC III Power Supply
The Overvoltage Category (OVC) is used to define the level of transient overvoltage caused by events like lightning or unstable power. According to IEC 60664-1, it defines four OVC categories. The majority of mains-powered equipment found in buildings can be classified into OVC II and OVC III categories.
Generally, OVC II encompasses domestic, workshop, and office equipment that is connected via a mains plug and is individually protected by a fuse or circuit breaker. On the other hand, OVC III mainly applies to hard-wired equipment installed inside switch cabinets or distribution panels, including relays, circuit breakers, and fixed-installation power supplies.
Cincon AC-DC OVC III power supplies from 4W to 70W. The OVC III mainly applies to hard-wired equipment installed inside switch cabinets or distribution panels.
